Naish

Kieren has a broad commercial and equity practice at the Bar, in areas ranging from corporations law disputes, to probate and property litigation and general commercial litigation. He has also been briefed in major construction arbitrations, including those concerning the AirportLink tunnel in Brisbane, the Basslink electricity interconnector, the BassGas gas processing facility and the Studland Bay Wind Farm.

Until 2004, Kieren was a solicitor at Mallesons Stephen Jaques. His practice was predominantly in major commercial litigation, with a particular focus on international construction and related insurance disputes. He also had a significant role in the drafting of the construction contract for the EastLink road infrastructure project.

Upon leaving Mallesons Stephen Jaques and until his call to the Bar, Kieren was also employed as Associate to the Honourable Justice Whelan at the Supreme Court of Victoria. During that time, Justice Whelan was a judge of the Commercial List and of the Commercial and Equity Division of the Court.

Kieren has also been a lecturer in Corporations Law at the University of Melbourne.
